I love my new knives. The smooth bolster feels super comfortable and the self-sharpening block keeps my knives sharp as on the first day I bought them. It is so easy to use as they sharpening mechanism works as I insert and extract the knives from the block.

All in the title. It's a really nice knife set that looks great in the kitchen and performs well. The paring knife is a little too sharp for my girlfriend, but she's just a bit clumsy at times.

These superior knives take the work out of cutting, slicing, chopping. The 4 slots for steak knives are perfect for keeping my Zwilling steak knives at hand. I have a high quality Santoku knife that fits perfectly into the one vacant slot on the block. I could not be happier and would recommend this set to anyone in the market for a high quality self sharpening knife block set. (My husband is so happy not to have to sharpen knives any more)

I have been wanting to purchase these knives for a while, but I had to do my research before purchasing. All the reviews and feedback for this set have been so positive; I had to get the knives set for my home.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful set of knives! They are an amazing upgrade from my Chicago Cutlery set. I love that the block is self-sharpening! I no longer have to worry about dull kitchen knives! The shears, bread knife, and steak knives slots, are not self-sharpening. If you want to sharpen the steak knives, you use the paring knife slot. The steak knives and the santoku knife are not included with the set. That was a little disappointing, but not a deal-breaker. My husband bought the set for me as a Christmas gift and didn't notice that they were not included. We couldn't find matching steak knives at the time, so we found something close to looking like they belong with the set. The set also included a cutting board that I forgot to include a picture of. It's the perfect size, not too big or too small! Overall I am very pleased with this set of knives! I'm hoping they will last for many years.

I can assume that the company is aware of this since the first thing you see when you open the package are pictures of the items you can buy to fill the block. Nevertheless, the knives are great; the block is great; the scissors are great; the cutting board is completely unnecessary.
