Our Score

The ButtKicker is designed for music. Low end response for your stage, studio or rehearsal room monitoring can now be accurate, powerful and incredibly tight. It's used by many of the worlds' great bands including Counting Crows, The Who, Charlie Daniels Band, Rod Stewart, Jane's Addiction, and many, many others. The full sized ButtKicker Concert provides maximum low end isolation. Every player on stage, and every sound engineer can have just the right level of bass, without airborne sound waves. The ButtKicker isolates low end into a drum throne, platform, or control room floor. This gives you much greater control of sound pressure levels. Bass players and drummers who want to feel a powerful kick drum, or low "C", no longer have to drive guitar players and singers nuts with volume. One ButtKicker Concert can easily replace 3, 4, 5 or even 6 voice coil shakers. Engineers will benefit by being able to more accurately monitor mixes for all types of stage or studio sessions.

Manufacturer Part Number: BK-CT Highlights Accurate response for drum and keyboard monitoring Patented magnetically suspended piston design Nearly indestructible design, with thermal cutoff switch Incredible power handling 2 ohm impedance for more amplifier output ButtKicker BK-CT Concert Transducer for Musicians ButtKicker® brand BK-CT Concert low frequency audio transducers are specifically designed for musician monitoring, on the stage and in the studio, and is "The Choice" of touring professionals for low frequency monitoring. Instead of using the traditional voice coil design of most tactile transducers, ButtKicker transducers are built using a revolutionary, patented magnetically suspended piston design. Not only does this design create more accurate low frequency effects (drummers swear by them for monitoring), it also lasts longer! The magnetically suspended piston design pushes the resonant frequency of each ButtKicker transducer down to an ultra-low 9 Hz, allowing for a truly infrasonic, and usable, frequency range of 5 to 200 Hz! While other transducers produce their peak output at 60 to 80 Hz (nowhere near low enough for a bass player), ButtKickers are still going strong up to three octaves lower. A 3-1/4 pound piston is used within the BK-CT for superior transduction force and is perfect for drummers, bass players, keyboard players, DJs, and engineers... especially when combined with in-ear monitoring systems! ButtKicker's BK-CT features a 2-ohm impedance for high output and is best used with the ButtKicker BKA1000-N power amplifier with its built-in 20 Hz high-pass filter turned on to prevent unheard infrasonic frequencies from being played back. The ButtKicker BK-CT mounts directly to suspended floors, chairs and drum thrones (directly or by using the BK-DTM-2 drum throne mounting kit in the Related Items section), as well as platforms and risers. Each ButtKicker transducer piston is built using large gauge coil wire, and is surrounded by a large metal housing that acts as a heatsink. Should the coil wire exceed 150°F (75°C), an internal thermal switch disconnects the ButtKicker from the amplifier for cooling. This allows for years of maintenance-free use! Five-way binding posts offer nearly endless amplifier connection options, and all ButtKicker transducers are proudly made in the U.S.A. Note:ButtKicker transducers are able to operate at any angle. For the best possible output, with the lowest possible distortion, it is recommended that ButtKicker transducers be mounted in their vertical, upright position.
