Pre-Owned - Somewhere beyond the circle of money, glitz, drugs, and controversy that characterizes professional sports in America, remnants of an ideal exist. In Iowa, that ideal survives in the form of high school wrestling. Each a three-time state champion, Jay Borschel and Dan LeClere have a chance in their senior year to join the sport's most elite group: the four-timers, wrestlers who win four consecutive state titles. For Jay, a ferocious competitor who feeds off criticism and doubt, a victory would mean vindication over the great mass of skeptics waiting for him to fail. For Dan, who carries on his back the burdens of his tiny farming community, the dreams of his hard-driving coach and father, and his own personal demons, another title is the only acceptable outcome. Four Days to Glory is the story of America as told through its small towns and their connection to sport the way it was once routinely perceived: as a means of mattering to the folks next door.

Pre-Owned - Never Stop Pushing is a motivational autobiography by Olympic Greco-Roman champion wrestler Rulon Gardner (Gold Medal, 2000; Bronze Medal, 2004). This inspiring memoir comes from one of the world's most remarkable athletes who achieved arguably the greatest upset in individual sports history when he defeated the Russian Alexander Karelin -- three-time Olympic champ, undefeated and unscored upon for a decade before his match with Gardner -- in the 2000 Gold Medal match. Rulon Gardner tells the story of his impoverished upbringing as one of nine children in a close-knit Mormon family on a farm in Wyoming, where in performing unceasing chores he developed tremendous strength at an early age. Gardner writes about his struggles in school made arduous by learning disabilities that have challenged him his whole life. Also, after winning his Gold Medal, we read how this champion survived a snowmobile accident that marooned him outdoors for eighteen hours in high country. Rulon Gardner recovered from this and went on to defend his Gold Medal at Athens in 2004--yet another comeback from this athlete who was supposed to simply fade away.

Accessories such as CD, codes, toys, may not be included. ?Straight from the Hart is the no-holds-barred book about the often surreal, physically and psychologically brutal and politically cutthroat world of professional wrestling that fans everywhere -- from the most casual or skeptical observer to the most rabid, hardcore aficionado of the action from the squared circle -- have truly been waiting for. Bruce Hart is the son of legendary wrestler and promoter Stu Hart and a member of what may be wrestling's true "first family" -- a wrestling legacy that now spans three generations and includes icons like Bret "Hitman" Hart, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith, and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhardt, as well as current day stars like David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd, and Natalya Neidhardt. For the first time ever, Hart steps from out of the shadows of Calgary's fabled "Hart dungeon" to discuss it all: growing up as one of twelve children in a house where men like Andre the Giant and Killer Kowalski might be seated at the breakfast table; the rise, fall, rebirth, and ultimate demise of the popular and highly influential Stampede Wrestling promotion; what it was like to be trained by his father and fight both with and alongside his brothers; why his family's business was destroyed by Vince McMahon's WWF; how the tragic death of his brother Owen rocked the Hart family; and what really happened behind the scenes of the infamous "Montreal screwjob." Along the way, Hart gets to the heart of the wrestling business, taking you behind the scenes to discuss how wrestling should be booked, the toll steroids and other drugs have taken on his friends and family, and what it was like to write his brother Bret's newspaper columns while the "Hitman" was on the road.
